Period Migraines

What? Period migraines are migraine headaches that may start a few days before your period. Some women have migraines throughout their cycle that get worse before and during periods.

Why? Period migraines are caused by the drop in estrogen towards the end of a cycle.

Am I alone? Nope! Around 1 in 10 women get migraines before their period. More than half of women who get migraines notice a recurrent pattern with their cycles.

Period migraines tend to be more severe than migraines experienced during any other time in the cycle.
